Cupcakes


I'm happy to say that I've been busy with weddings lately, but haven't had a chance to post anything interesting here! I also made some updates to the website, not that you can really tell, but I spent forever "cleaning up" over there . . . !

Seeing a whole line of cupcake-themed stationery, stamps and gifts at Michaels recently has made me want to expand my cupcake offerings! Because really, what's sweeter than a cupcake? I basically get orders for chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, sometimes strawberry thrown in there once in a while. I've been doing "research" on some cool flavor combinations and hope to offer some new cupcakes very soon!

When I teach my cake decorating classes or bake at home, I wear an apron.  When I don my apron, my mind goes into cake decorator mode.  Everything else is secondary. Chocolate Just For You

Both times, I gave each student a copy of my favorite chocolate buttercream frosting recipe, one that I use on my cakes when people request chocolate frosting. (Unfortunately, chocolate frosting is rarely asked for compared to vanilla buttercream.) I stumbled upon these adorable cupcake boxes this week; how have I never seen these before?! I make cakes and cupcakes for a living! These are truly some of the cutest cupcake boxes I've come across, and I've seen many. They're sized for cupcakes, but could surely house party favors, candy and anything else you care to put in a 3.25" wide x 3.75" high space.
