In addition to my new home on the web, I've decided to start a new blogspot as well, to feature some really cool and amazing products I've discovered as well as tips and tricks pertaining to my world of cakes, paper and gifts!

When I teach my cake decorating classes or bake at home, I wear an apron.  When I don my apron, my mind goes into cake decorator mode.  Everything else is secondary. Chocolate Just For You

Both times, I gave each student a copy of my favorite chocolate buttercream frosting recipe, one that I use on my cakes when people request chocolate frosting. (Unfortunately, chocolate frosting is rarely asked for compared to vanilla buttercream.) When I started the blog, I promised recipes and tips, in addition to product information and random anecdotes, so here is Sweetest Whimsy’s Favorite Chocolate Frosting Recipe, just for you: Ingredients: * 3 cups sifted powdered sugar, divided * 2/3 cup baking cocoa (ie. 31 Days of Tricks & Treats: Thinking Outside the Cupcake Box

I stumbled upon these adorable cupcake boxes this week; how have I never seen these before?! I make cakes and cupcakes for a living! These are truly some of the cutest cupcake boxes I've come across, and I've seen many. They're sized for cupcakes, but could surely house party favors, candy and anything else you care to put in a 3.25" wide x 3.75" high space.
